Whistle Blower Policy Reward Scheme
  WHISTLE BLOWER POLICY - FOR BUSINESS ASSOCIATES & SUPPLIERS
  
To All Business Associates & Suppliers,
 
Second Chance Properties Ltd requires its directors, managers and employees to observe high standards of business and personal ethics in the conduct of their duties and responsibilities. We must practice honesty and integrity in fulfilling our responsibilities and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. We believe that people are generally honest and ethical in their business dealings. Being a public listed company, we are obliged to ensure that this is practiced within the organization. We are obliged under status of a Public Listed Company to file charges, in the event anyone tries to bribe any of our employees to secure business with the Company.
 
Reporting Responsibility and Procedure
 
In accordance with this Policy, should there be an incident whereby an employee of Second Chance Properties Ltd or any of its subsidiaries deliberately requests for any form of reward, monetary or otherwise, in exchange for securing business with the company; a report of the violation or suspected violation to be lodged with:

The report can also be lodged to any Company’s Directors whom you are confident are not involved in the violation or suspected violations. You can lodge the report by any means necessary such as through email, SMS or even verbally
 
Confidentiality
 
Violations or suspected violations may be submitted on a confidential basis by the complainant. Reports of violations or suspected violations will be kept confidential to the extent possible, consistent with the need to conduct an adequate investigation.
 
Protection
 
We will use our best efforts to protect whistle blowers against retaliation and will prohibit any form of retaliation against persons who raise suspected violations of laws, cooperate in inquiries and/or investigations. We will not tolerate any harassment or victimisation and will take appropriate action to protect those who raise a concern in good faith.
 
We understand that it may be a difficult decision for a person who has been involved in a misconduct to come forward for fear of legal action. We would like to give assurance that Second Chance Properties Ltd will not initiate civil proceedings against a whistle blower who participated in the reported illegal conduct.
 
 
Handling of Reported Violations
 
The Chairman or Company’s Directors will notify the sender and acknowledge receipt of the reported violation or suspected violation. All reports will be promptly investigated and appropriate corrective action will be taken if warranted by the investigation.
 
Whistle blower Reward Scheme
 
A cash reward will be paid to any person who provides specific, reliable and credible information or evidence of fraudulent activities by any of the Company’s Executive Directors and Management Team as listed in the Company’s Annual Report ($50,000) and all other employees (up to $2,000) which:
 
  • leads to admission of guilt by the accused; or
  • leads to successful prosecution.
 
[In the case of (b) above], concrete evidence has to be provided to permit thorough and complete investigation and evaluation of the complaint or allegation and to enable the accused to be proven guilty in a court of law. Such evidence may include documentation of fraudulent transactions, video or voice recordings or paper trail of payments such as bank deposit slips.
 
If there is more than one whistle blower in connection with the same action or related action, the Board of Directors shall have the absolute discretion to apportion the award taking into account the significance, reliability and completeness of the information provided by the whistle blower to the success of prosecution and assistance provided by the whistle blower. The Board of Directors shall have the absolute power to determine the award in any of the following manner:
 
(a)    splitting the award equally between the whistle blowers;
(b)    grant a specified award percentage to each whistle blower;
(c)    award only to the first whistle blower who provides the original information; or 
(d)    any other method as it considers appropriate.
